The New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v10 for men are neutral running shoes. The tenth versions of these popular running shoes are even better than their predecessors. The most important improvement is that the shoes have become lighter of weight thanks to the updated Fresh Foam X.
The new Hypoknit 2.0 upper encloses the feet and has an improved fit. The upper has different zones, each made of different materials. The toes feature stretch fabric. The embroidery at the midfoot isn't only for decorative purposes, but also provides some extra sturdiness and support when running. The Fresh Foam 1080v9, the predecessor of the v10, featured a semi-bootie construction. The new v10 now features a full-bootie construction. The UltraHeel with memory foam together with an updated heel part provides an excellent fit.
The new Fresh Foam 1080v10 features a Fresh Foam X-midsole. This renewed Fresh Foam material has a softer feel whilst returning more energy. Because the midsole has more laser incisions, it can provide more cushioning. To ensure that you will still receive the necessary support and stability reinforcements have been added to the inside of the midsole.
The outsole has also undergone some changes. Endurance rubber has been added underneath the toes and the heel. This material is wearproof and specifically added to the parts of the foot which have to deal with the largest impact. Eva material with strategically placed grooves has been added under the midfoot. This material is very flexible, ensures grip and provides an effortless transition. And finally, the blown rubber which was also found in the 1080v9 has been added to this version too. The outsole is slightly slanted; a feature that New Balance calls 'rocker'. This means that the sole follows the movements of the feet through the transition. It ensures that the shoes stay responsive and provide excellent cushioning.
