Shoes Like Pottery offers their perfected canvas low top sneaker with their signature vulcanized soles using the traditional Japanese method of "Ka-ryu." Like the name suggests, the rubber soles are fired in a kiln, like pottery, to create a more durable and flexible product with a unique texture.

Moonstar has been producing high quality sneakers in Karume, Japan since 1873. They specialize in durable, high quality canvas footwear. Much of Moonstar's footwear has vulcanized construction, a process where the canvas and rubber are fused at a very high temperature and pressure. This results in a very high quality, long lasting product. Shoes Like Pottery is an ongoing project designed and produced at the Moonstar factory.

All Shoes Like Pottery and Moonstar footwear is unisex. For men's sizing take your normal size, for women's go two sizes down (eg. women's 8 = men's 6). Please contact us if you have sizing questions.
